More MixesChris has been DJing and collecting the trance and hard dance music for over 12 years. His first big break was when he was 18 and took up a weekly residency at Nation for the party Sugar. Although Hard Dance was not a popular genre in Washington DC, at the age of 19 Chris managed to be the first UK Hard Dance DJ, national or local to play at Buzz in April of 2000. Since then he has played at numerous regional and national events in the Washington DC / Baltimore area.
Chris joined up with The Rhythm Republic in 2000. The Rhythm Republic threw 2 parties (so far), Thumper and Solar One. Solar One incorporated over 50 DJs including 8 regional and national DJs. Solar One was also the first time that a UK Hard House Headliner (Rachel Auburn) was brought to Washington DC. After being part of various other local DJ crews Chris met up with DC SKILLZ in the summer of 2002. Now part of DC SKILLZ Chris and the rest of the DC SKILLZ Hard Dance DJs have proven to be one of the main driving forces behind the Washington DC area Hard Dance movement. Chris's mixing skills, record selection as well as musical knowledge have earned him a spot as one of the area's established veteran local DJs.
Random Facts: I got into techno when I heard the Prodigy's "Experience" cd, Michael Meachem's Acid Reign CD and Dan Efex's SETI Project mixtape. I soon started taking an extreme liking towards electronic music and went to such Baltimore/Washington DC parties as, Sunday Mass, Fever and Good Life back in 1995.
