If FL Studio samples appear red then do this:
In Windows XP .....Click on Programs>FL Studio> Advanced>ACMVorbis
.....A folder should open up, RIGHT click on ACM Vorbis then install.
Your red bits(samples)will now change, and will be fully funtional.
