well chuffed about how this turned out, left it alone about 2am cos it seemed to have been sorted thanks to some superb sluth work by zeromus and a general witch hunt by the rest of us

I'm pleased that this has come to light now & not in a few months time for all parties involved...can you imagine how messy that could have got!! Has anyone heard this track of his? I hope it is his & not some poor guy being ripped also.

I stuck with it 'till 4.30am, but most of the threads were being removed by then which made me even more pissed.

It's a fucking disgrace that the guy thought he could do this. It just goes to show what a lot of us have been thinking for a long time about uploading stuff. One of the main reasons why labels are holding forthcoming releases to themselves now. Is Shawn Xzavier his real name or a DJ alias? I think it would be wise for those that have been involved with him to actually post his name as to warn others from potential mishaps in the future.

You can combat this type of fraud, name checks through your mixes & gradual tempo shifts on original tracks when you post them up.

It's good to see everyone got behind this 100% like they did. It's also a warning to anyone who may think of doing this in the future.

Good effort everyone - it's stuff like this that gives me faith in humanity and reminds me of why I'm a member of this board.

 

I've only ever seen Jon mix for about 10-15 minutes which was after Wonga's 'Summer Madness' event in Portsmouth. His enthusiasm and skill behind the decks left a big impression!! I remember other BTers and the Redtrip Crew also being suitably impressed. In fact I decided at that point that the next time I put on an event Jon was definatly getting booked. 

 

Which is why it pissed me off so much when I saw what this twat had done. Big respect to Todd, Zero and Jay, I only wish I could have stayed awake to spread the word a little more
