the demo gives you a good idea of whats on offer... mostly useful for house and tech styles but also useful for trance/hard housesmile all the percussion sounds in the demo are available as single shots as are the fx.

instead of having loads of random stabs and hoovers (which most people have) I've got a folder of raw oscillator samples taken from my Juno, SH101 and Super Jupiter. All with filter wide open, tuned and with sample loop points. may sound a bit plain but they're much easier to get good sounds out of once in your favourite sampler... just add filter envelope and you're away!

There's about 40 funky techno loops also, which sound equally at home in 150bpm hard house track.

I'm a fan of hi-hats - so there's about 30+ of them. Also,  32 kicks, 30 snares... you get the idea! All processed and eq'd so they don't need much work to get a track started. biggrin

Seems a decent deal to be honest, loops and drums are all i tend to use from packs anyway.

Will buy it on pay day.

Cant you do one for say 100quid with 500 loops, would be nicelaughing

Sounds good to me mate.

Loops are a must and the ones in the demo sound nice and clean.

as well as the funky techno loops I've included all the loops that make up the percussion in the demo. ie all the kicks, hats, claps, snare and percussion are split so you can recreate the loops in the demo or mix and match them. all bpm'd also. no additional reverb or processing was used on any of the demo percussion, that's how they will sound as single hits.

I've also included a group of gated reverbs - for layering with claps and snares, to thicken them up.

Love some of the kicks toothumbsup

When you say gated reverbs do you just gate it with something like the Sonox Oxford Dynamics, theres a gate on that? Dont want to turn it into a 'ask PJ thread' but why do you gate it? Just to tighten it up?

i usually gate the reverbs by hand - ie bounce the reverb and then chop the end off or use my hardware gated reverbs.

the main reason I gate reverbs is to stop the mix getting messy. for instance I can add a massive reverb to the clap and by cutting off the tail of the reverb it stops that from messing with the next beat. on the demo you can hear this mostly in the first few bars, where the snare reverb is gated so that it stops before the next kick. this makes the snare sound big but doesn't overpower the kick.

I also use reverbs to create ghost rhythms by passing a loop through and only using the reverb. If you add this to another loop it can make the mix sound bigger without getting too messy and you can also do cool things like chopping up the reverb!love

Tempted to buy this, but had bag experiences with sample packs from "The sIte we Do not speak of" i.e. I pay £15 for a pack full of shite I never end up using.

Tempted to get this for the funky techno loops though, been having a stab at producing some of my own funky looped techno tracks lately but seem to be getting nowhere. Could give me a few decent ideas this pack.

EDIT: Couldn't resist, had to purchase. Fair play Paul, this is actually a very well put together pack and one I will be turning to for some time. thumbsup

wicked!

As you say, some packs are hit and miss. In the past I've had the misfortune to pay £50-60 for sample CD's to find that only a handful of loops or fx were useable. I haven't bought one for years so I tried to fill this pack with all the bits and bobs that would be useful to write a track from scratch without having to search for the 'useful' samples.

glad you like it - cheers for the positive feedbacksmile

nice one!

I'm currently putting together more samples for future packs. If anyone has any requests for particular sounds, loops or fx just drop me a line to samples @ infiniteloops . co . uk (remove the spaces) and I'll see what I can do!

cheers
