my love for hard dance is greater than a camels love of water.
Just like the old proverb:
You can lead a camel to water, but he's hardly gonna double drop and bounce around like an electric pogo stick now is he.

Great animals camels, i fucking love them too.

not another thread like this. Hard dance is at a stage of where it's always been. Hard dance isn't dead but it'll never get to the pop charts.

wish it was where it's always been. there'll be a place for it's various subgenres for a long time to come but it's definitely diminished

Sorry to be pedantic but,
Burnin Up did, as did hoovers and horns etc..
Thats not my point, my point was I was joking.

in my own pathetic opinion, Music is music, theres a time and a place for everything,
dance music pretty much rid the wave of that late twentieth century feel good factor
right now I dont think people feel too much like dancing
so its back to the underground to develop fresh genres, fresh sounds, fresh movements

In the early nineties the scene united, and will do so again.
Until then Ill be off for a lay down.

dont want it to tbh, thats why the hard house/hard dance scene is so good coz theres just a small percentage of people into it and go there for the music!! if it was more mainstream there would be more dickheads about tbh

I guess its not dead as long as there are few clubs playing it. But, if you compare it to other styles then its a different story.

I think Mixmag invented it so they could lump all dance music genres with "hard" in the title onto one page.

its weird so many people hate the term 'hard dance' - i actually think it makes sense cos its all dance music innit? and its, hard laughing

i dont like the term just to be clear, fuck i'd have it described as almost anything other than fucking DANCE - G333333YH!!

if someone asks me what music i like i say hard dance cos to say hard house, techno, nrg, hard psy and some hard trance takes time

Oh dear I seem to have touched a nerve round here and therefore
you choose to get all pedantic about a fairly-widely accepted term.
The term hard dance encompasses hard techno, hard house, hard trance and hard-style. I'm sure theres an awards ceremony with just that title.
What term would you use to describe those genres? banging?

i've always taken it to be a name for the overal harder dance music genre... its dance music thats hard... so many styles fall into this category

i know some though that play a shitty mild commercial sounding form of hard house and refer to that as hard dance and i hate that, but if its in reference to many different styles i think its alright to be used tbh because it makes sense in the eyes of people who dont know what the fuck clowncore is laughing

I don't see why it all has to be grouped together when the music is different. Hard house is what it is, so is Hard Trance etc. If it makes it easier for the mixmag people to think that, then so be it. Not my opinion though, mate.
