i want to install a new processor in my comp but i cant remember what socket my motherboard is, im pretty sure it's a 939 socket, i want to know is there a way i can check what socket it is with my comp

 

i can find out what processor i have i just want to know what socket it is before i buy a new one

Run a program CPU-Z. It should be under "Mainboad" tab


I wouldnt go by what cpu I have in mobo right now.

Pretty sure that processor is socket 754 or 939. More than certain it'l be a 939 though. It should say on it when you take the chip out.

am pretty sure it's a 939 mi self

 

ive looked on ccl online and when i look at the duel core processors they all say they have a am2 socket, if my processor is a 939 socket will one of these fit?

urr nope. see image below. Like I said before Run cupz. get a model number for your mobo. then do a search for it on the internet and see what cpu it suports.
