P.S Simon... Put some of your perfection into practice

Very funny... i do, but not for commercial release, its a hobby not career anymore. not got the same passion but still love to help others with what i do know and picked up along the way. in turn i too learn loads within the digital world and new techniques

Still the same argument with me, if you cant be bothered to learn the basic fundimentals of music composition then you aint gonna learn much and expect the whole track to be done for you or just sound plain shit.

either way it doesn't effect me but will effect someone who really wants to get somewhere with music. screwu

I think we should have a BT outing to Simon's studiothumbsup

Iv been having lessons on EQ dude, quite in depth ones, and no one quite wants to get far in the business than me, i can assure you of that.
biggrinthumbsup well good luck, and i do mean that in a nice way thumbsup

as for filters... at the mo i have been playing with scamp as well as EQ automation. Other filters are usually the filters built into the synths i play as i dont use samples....but i have put scamp on vox which are the samples i use smilethumbsup

know what simon is saying though mate,a lot of us these days rely to much on the vast amount of plug-ins available rather than better use of whats available
in our choice of DAW.Advice like that only comes with experiance and observation of how technology has evolved,Its to easy to just whack a vst on and expect results..Never thought of trying automation on the inbuilt EQs and at times when a projects maxed out on cpu from over caining the 3rd parties it could be a life saver or used correctly in the first place could help not having to cut corners at the end of a project when options are limited due to cpu power.though dont think il be giving up using ohmygod good anytime soon smile

I played around with the channel EQ for filter use and just find plugins better! high and low pass filters are all i use pretty much for EQ, but i do use the channel EQ to take out any really annoying peaks

I think the TI filter is based on the Moog filter mate(although it is VA and the Moog is analogue), you can still make it scream if you push it

the best filter i ever used was in the buzz generator pack on fruity loops, think it was called something amazing like "filter" lol, fucking amazing at high pass filter whips

i also like to use psp82 with the wet/dry 100% dry (filter still works through it)
