well i am only just making the transition over to cds - i still play mostly vinyl so i am buying quite a bit of it still thumbsup

It is rare for people to start mixing vinyl these days so fair play to you! king Most go straight into CD's

i started to learn to mix a few years back thumbsup love mixing on vinyl but i will eventually no doubt favour cds over vinyl! smile

I love it too- completely different feel. My only reservation with mixing vinyl are the condition of the decks/needles you use. The amount of times I have played on wondering decks or the needle keeps skipping when you cue up is stupid. *touch wood* I have never used a CDJ and actually had a problem!

You could always take some good needles with you whilst playing Lucy just in case for piece of mind, you'd probably only need to use one deck anyway.

I still buy 2nd hand vinyl but not much, unless it's something I really need.

Yeah I did buy some concords for such an occasion!

I love vinyl and am always looking for the hard to find stuff on discogs and through these forums.  You've nothing to loose hey, list it up and see what people want.  Otherwise sell it in batches through ebay.

Got alot of hard house stuff that tbh I probably wont ever play again, old bouncy tidy's ect.

Guess that with the price of second hand vinyl being as shit as it is for hard house it's really not worth selling them.

I'm only buying the odd hh/nrg release these days, and they have to be really good for me to part with the cash, whereas a couple of years ago I bought some stuff just to keep my collection of that lable going even if the tunes werent anything special.

Now I'm playing techno more there is a whole world of tunes out there from producers and lables I've never heard of to keep me interested in buying vinyl, as well as tracking down old classic's - (mostly acid stuff)thumbsup

laughing same here.......
