Blackout crew are amazing - I was sure it was a pisstake until they signed to AATW and had a full-on big budget video done for one of their tunes. I suppose it could be a joke still, but theres plenty of wigan pier goers bang into it!

Big budget might have been an exaggeration, but it looks like they're taking it quite seriously.

Fuck off are we.  Fact is what was pretty good music has morphed somewhat, been bastardised, had loads of cheese added in and generally turned into something ugly.  I have been reviewing/playing my older material lately and this includes plenty of bouncy stuff in that.  Difference is this was from talented producers and is quality sounding material all round.  As for the Ingo comment, I bought some of his pretty early stuff (the Ingostar bootlegs) but quickly went off him a few releases after that screwu

Zanos, all you do is look for an excuse to jump on us with specific harder tastes so your opinion on these matters is pretty much worthless.  uhoh

Aside from the Zanos comment, I don't see how you can say that tbh.... If this was released when bounce was popular in HH, I best most DJs would have been all over it.

Can you explain the 'had loads of cheese added in and was generally turned into something ugly' bit please? Sounds exactly the same to me...

It depends what old bouncy hh they are listening to.  On a previous conversation you seemed to think that hard house originated from the kind of stuff Ingo was making.  For a start bouncy stuff started before him and hard house before that.  Ingo championed the more oinky sound (if you know what I mean by that) and thats why I quickly went off him after picking up one of his early efforts.  Even then I didn't really like that kind of sound as it had lost the groove that many of the bouncy tunes I did had.  There are a number of DJ's who used to play that type of stuff and Lisa Pin Up is one who springs to mind.  I think that stuff is where the "donk" kind of material originated and it wasn't something I liked when it appeared and there was plenty of other stuff that wasn't that about at the time.

The type of material I take as being the original bouncy stuff tends to be on productions from the likes of Paul Janes, BK and the Knuckleheads.  Even "The Dawn" is a bit bouncy and if you can't tell the difference in quality for tracks such as "House Rocca", "The Dawn" vs the Blackout Crews material then I really shouldn't be wasting my time posting this in response to you.

You are talking about familiarity of sounds surely.  Because the "donk" in the Blackout Crews track has a distinct oink it could in some ways sound a bit like an old Ingo track.  The vocals and how they have put together the track are totally different levels.

I have personally not really got into the "oinky" bounce efforts championed by the likes of Ingo or Lisa Pinup.  To me this is when things started to move away from stuff I liked and towards what is referred to as donk these days.  The bouncy material I refer to is some of the late 90's productions from the likes of Knuckleheadz, Paul Janes and BK.  These to me are distinctly different.

any outsider who listens to this "Donk" and then listens to old bouncy hh will tell you that its the same shite, little differences here and there. same bullshit kick bass kick bass

one more thing, if my opinions are worthless to you dont quote me or reply to my messages. have a good night.thumbsup

Even "The Dawn" is a bit bouncy and if you can't tell the difference in quality for tracks such as "House Rocca", "The Dawn" vs the Blackout Crews material then I really shouldn't be wasting my time posting this in response to you.

lol oklaughing

Thats the thing dude. It is bounce and you lot did listen to bounce, its just a case of some producers making more bouncy stuff compared to the others. so on the end of the day you did listen to donk! my question is why ignore it?

So what you are pretty much saying in a nut shell is that I should like the Blackout crew because I liked tracks such as "House Rocca" and "The Dawn".  Hmmmm, ok then violent

exactly, because its bouncy hard house, the case just one being more oinky then the other one with more vocals.thumbsdown

Thanks for correcting my tastes Zanos biggrinthumbsup  I didn't think of it like that before and now I have, I actually realise that the Blackout Crew's track is really sick man and I will google them and see if I can pick up some of their stuff...

I only wish I was half as insightful and full of wisdom as you are

Never argue with an idiot John, they'll drag you down to their level then beat you with experience idea

Zanos is a lost cause warning

And for the record I've never been into bouncy house. In fact, I can't stand it and never have.
