I do and mix it with a bit of tech trance and funky house thrown in as a side line.  It all depends on quality of material obviously.  I have been neglecting it lately though at somepoint I will have to buy some again.  Seem to be overload with decent hh/nrg material at the moment though and I want to get another classic set mixed as well

Never heard it in a club though. I only tend to go to Hard House events.

I wouldn't mind going to an event at some point to be honest.  I would have to target D.A.V.E. the Drummer as I have been a fan of his stuff under his various names for years.  In fact I think I may stick a mix of his on this afternoon thumbsup

Would Carl Falk be more funky techno or house?  I know he is playing these parts soon as I saw a poster yesterday.

Limited funds, so I have to choose.

Plus there's literally NOWHERE in my city that plays anything other than D&B, Cheese, Poofy House or Donk.  uzi

WTF is Donk?!

It's the real dodgy oinky sort of music that is often associated with hard house (but shouldn't be).  It is bastardised fucked up cheese infested, inbred distant non blood relative of the bouncy stuff that was about in the late 90's

You could say that.  The thing is; I was playing through old 97-00 stuff yesterday and played a bit of bouncy material which contains lots of tunes that I used to love and go nuts to.  I was a bit in two minds about it at first but determined not to let the dodgy donk shit tarnish what is good classic material made by fucking talented producers.

Absolutely fucking love it, it's the only genre that I am still regularly buying tunes on vinyl.

Elton D, Pedro Delgardo, Hertz, Cave, Axel Karakasis, Spiros Kaloumenos, Webba, Boriqua Tribez, Carl Falk, Peppelino, Christian Ficher / DJ Murphy, Valantino Kanzyani etc etc etc, all top stuff. thumbsup

I think that has to do more with the DJ then the track itself. Techno definately is a genre that requires a lot of imput from the DJ, otherwise it does sound rather bland.

But being Dave Clarke you would already know that! laughing
