The Average age of a DJ

26, started mixing at 15 and stopped at about 22. have a digital setup now but dont really use it that much because of neighbours.

Took early retirement at 20.

Too many dj's about, need more porducers.

25,started mixing in 2004 and played out for the first time in 2006

well .. i'm 23 .. and i've been playing for about 5 years now

22 in September and just started actually playing out...

Been writing tunes/music/ doing audio work for about 4 years... now, been going into dance music for about 4 years..

12 for HH and 40 for Progg

27.

I'm 24 this year been makin tunes for round bout 2 years, djing for bout or 6-7

28 and cant wait for my first paid gig, hopefully in the next couple of months!  Planning to keep going for a long time yet

28. Been clubbing since 2000, DJing and producing since 2001, and still loving it!

29 and in my prime!

    seems to average out about 25-26 to me

Its got to be late 40's early 50's for the "superstar" DJ's hasn't it?!

Gonna be 35 in September!!! First got in to the scene about 1991/92, drifted away from it, Now i've got a family and all the usual grwn up commitmens and suddenly got back into it last year. Now just started mixin again the last few months, who knows mght even get chance to play out if i'm lucky. Basically am breathin' music at the mo and don't see that ever changing

Forgot about this post.... I def still going strong and can't see anything changing for a while... As long as quality tunes continue to be produced I'll continue djing!!

I'm 28, been mixing just over a year. Been playing out a few months now and i think i'm just about to secure my first residency.
