Just wondering how i should be doing this.

Same verb for all loops? Same for all drums? Different verb for each synth or just use sends to share the verb as needed?

I know theres no rules but i want to split each part of the tune so its got its own place, just not 100% sure if i can do this with 1/2/3 reverbs or more?

Not sure if I'm answering your question correctly as I do not understand exactly what you mean by splitting reverbs but I'll take a gambit tounge

I do things a bit differently. If it's a complex track, I have 2 send channels with reverbs, both with a  graphical EQ and have one send for low range reverb and one send for hi frequencies.

This means if it's the breakdown and there is no low end I will use the one with the low enchancement, if it's mid track and there isn't much space i will use the one with the hi frequencies and less low end.

Don't know how others really go about it but that's how it's worked best for me. Others do it differently, automating the reverb as the track progresses and making use of only 1-2 reverb plugins in the whole track.

Same as Alex really, ill set up 2 reverb fx busses and 2 delay fx busses... One of the reverbs will be for lower frequency sounds and the other reverb will be for higher frequency sounds, with the delays ill have a bog standard 1/4 delay and the other one will be a multi tap jobbie... If i want a more individual reverb or delay for a specific sound ill set it up on the channel as an insert...thumbsup

I don't think the question was 'do you guys have a fixed setup for reverbs?', it was 'when you use your reverb, how do you use it in your track?'.

One short reverb (short decay) One long reverb (long decay) Generally use the short verb for perc and long for hits and stabs. If your using the same settings on each element it helps your mix gel together and gives your mix space at the same time. As for pre delay on the verbs i always just tweak to suit. Depends if your wanting the elements set back in the mix or kept forward. I use a verb for synth and vocals aswell normally. I do excatly the same with delays on a send. One short, one long. I use more than just 2 delays again tho. Get inventive with delays and you can get an awesome mix without the use of much verb.

I could have 40 verbs but i still would'nt.. you don't want the sound of 2 many different rooms in your track. It's gonna get messy.!! Less is better.

Each sound has to sit in it's own position in the 3D soundscape. Reverb is VERY important in accomplishing this (+EQ and amplitude) . Therefore most sounds need their own individual reverb.
