Made a new thread because the other one is cluttered.

Sign-up available! Just mention in this thread.

Info: There will be 8 x 10-12 minute slots on each mix. Record @ 320kbps. Most people are recording to CDJ and mixing into what the previous DJ sends them. Forward mix to me through Yousendit or Sendspace @ alex @ noirnet.com or PM here with full Artist - Title - Remix - Label. Make sure you let your last track play until the end so the next DJ can mix into it. If there are spaces in the end we may double book people who are interested.

Note to everyone: Do not start passing the mixes round yet until the rosters are complete. Also, in emails include your name as registered here so i know who i am talking to!

Everyone is welcome and if it's incentive, the last mix was heard by thousands of people as everyone linked it on their Myspace and Facebook pages, attracting many downloads and publicity.

Acid Techno (DJs not in order)*

CD1: 10pm-12pm: MeonDr Atomic, Fil Devious - 5 slots left

CD2: 2am-4am: Clarkee; Chemosh,  - 6 slots left

HardHouse/NRG (Djs not in order)
CD1: Warmup hard house, funky hard house, classic hard house
CD2: Harder edged hard house, NRG, Hard NRG

CD1: 10pm-12pm:  John Geary, Gaz Gibson, Connors, Deep Doc H, Tom,  3 slots left

CD2: 2am-4am: Alex Penn, Tom Payne, Adam NRG, Nogger, Adzr , Ross, DJ Destructo,  1 slot left!

As you won't be able to participate I will keep you first, but for now it's up in the air just in case there are more people who want in, and peeps who were on the last ones may be replaced. But thats only if there are too many people

If I am starting off around 10pm what would everyones preference of starting pace be.  I would normally think in the region of 150bpm if that gives Gaz room to work with afterwards.  I record in Audacity generally but I will normalize to -3 as said.  Should I upload a wav file as I am starting or 320kbps mp3 because of size?  Let me know and I will look to get 3 tracks mixed and it uploaded during the week.  thumbsup

Do not normalize, just try record your mix with some headspace. As long as they are not clipping you should be fine. Once the mix is over it will be mastered.

Keep it at 320, don't bother with sending WAVs.

Cool, let me know when I need to startup biggrin.  If someone who hasn't got CDJ's wants to start things off and jump ahead of me that's fine too thumbsup

If it's still cool to go 1st for the Acid one just give me a shout when you are ready Alex and I'll get it started. Just had a bit of a practice and I managed to get 6 tracks in 10 mins biggrin I'll re-do it for the actual mix though as it could be better alien

Dunno mate, considering with the 2 mixes we've around got 2hours and 40 mins over the 2 mixes we could easily start off with a right bit of warm up at around 146 / 147 bpm. This would still give ample time to build up to some banging NRG towards the end.

I think I can probably manage a classic and a couple of current tunes around 147 to start things going smile

Everyone who has requested mix spots has been added. Check out the other thread for the hard house lineup!

Now we need ACID TECHNO djs! If you have what it takes then signup and drop some of your favourite acid techno tracks for all to hear??

Go for it matey! I have made the Acid Techno one mix instead of two. If there is a sudden rush we'll do another one when the 2 Hard House ones are finito.
