Less than a month until the Olympics

Jesus, the pollution really is bad over there

I don't see why it's the Chinese's fault. On one hand yes they have filthy omissions, but on the other hand let's not forget we're talking about a fully blown Communist state who not only budges for noone outside internal affairs but who should have been under much heavier scruteny in the first place from the Olympics committee.

If they honestly believed that the Chinese were going to fix their carbon output just to please the Olympic committee then they are dumbasses! Chinese are at fault but this all coinciding with the mass media's anti-china policy, it seems to coincide nicely. And we all know coincidences like this cost a lot of money nowadays.

Exactly! Thy gave the olympics to China on the understanding that they would improve their air quality. They haven't so the Olympics should go elsewhere!

It's going to be a farce - some athletes have already pulled out because they fear that the pollution will seriously affect their asthma, including the marathon champion and Paula Ratcliffe.

 Its going to be interesting  heard on the news last night that the chinese authorities are going to order over three million cars off the roads and close factories in an attempt to clear the air filth.

Going to be interesting too, to see which country ends up with the most medals. usually its the USA but i,ll put money on China this time because the shame of comming second is'nt a tolerable thought for Chinese. All that saving face and stuff.

Then i suposse there's the humiliation, they will probably dish out to any chinks that fail.
