Anyone used Focal monitors before??

My next purchase is a decent set of monitors and as they are the most important part of the setup i'm gonna save and put some money in. My monitors/acoustics are my biggest holdback at the minute so when i move house soon i'm gonna sort it out!!

Been looking at the Focal Twin 6's but i know the chances of me raising that kind of money are very slim, the solo 6's are more to my budget.

So has anyone had any experiences with this brand??

Speakers ARE the most important i agree, but also the room and setup of them together with your competence of mixing down. smile

Had a good ratch on the net today and found a lot of comments on them here. They seem to be very popular monitors even tho not many places sell them

Cheapest place i can find in the uk is £574 each for the solo's here

The twin's are £800 each which is way too much for me but they're supposed to be awesome, a lot more low end than the solo's

Not cheap in the slightest

Mate, I've used Focal speakers for my hi-fi at home, and they make absolutely superb drive units. Loads of well known manufacturers of speakers use their drivers thumbsup

It's a superb range, especially the ones with Beryllium tweeters (like the ones you posted a link to) - that's what the 'be' bit means thumbsup

Are we talking JM LABS Focal gear?

If so it is extremely high quality.

From what I know, JMLabs made speakers for ages, Focal only made the drivers. Then they merged a few years back.

Some of the higher end hi-fi speakers are fucking awesome. Check this out love
