Winter Sun ?

I'm planning a winter break somewhere hot.

I was thinking Gran Canaria, any other suggestions you think well be nice in December ?

I'll really want to go from the 27th of December for 10 days or so ...

any one of the canary islands will be nice that time of year ,,gran canaria is boring as hell i'd go for tenerife

Or maybe a couple of pictures of beaches and nice cities around the world that are hot, You could place them around your bedroom then hired loads of verticle sunbeds and strategicly place them around your room, Turn em on and hey presto... Winter sun haha. You can even go online whilst in your own hot climate

If you don't mind a long flight, its as cheap to go to Dominican republic than Gran Canaria at that time of year. If you go all inclusive, it works out about the same but guarenteed sun.

What time next year bud?  I'm thinking of leaving in about April or May next year but probably won't get to Thailand until a month later maybe.

Ah well, i may leave Thailand until later on anyway.  I've just been looking at a world map and planning a route through and i've decided to do it in 2 parts partly due to probably not having the cash to do it all in one go.  Thailand will be about the 10th stop right after India.  Leaving in May, i would probably aim to be in Thailand for new year and all that party business as i could stay with my mates then too.  You should get out there then

I'm always in Thailand at Xmas and New year no matter what, Have been for many years now.

When i'm working then i always go in July / August too, So i go there 2 times a year (July/August & Xmas/NY)

I always have a good laugh in Tenerife ALWAYS, I just wish i could get a direct flight there from Humberside airport like i used to, but they no longer go there ... Not been now since 1999.

I stayed at this great hotel, There was a brothel directly below it with REALLY fit senoritas!  Getting coked up then going home to shag one of those ladies.. Oh the good old days

We are looking to do the same but the first week in December for my wifes birthday.  Gran Canaria is coincidentially our favourite at the moment.  I am basicially looking warm and try and minimise flying distance to within 5-6 hours

Try Cyprus

We saw Cyprus on an ad and dug into it but are not convinced that the temperatures are as high as we would like. 

It'd be the same as gran canaria, That place isn't hot at all lol

We're not having a summer hol this year cos we just got our puppy, so instead we're heading away at Christmas either back to Mexico or maybe Sri Lanka

I'd def recommend Mexico if u don't mind flying

Or Mauritius.. although that is 12 hours flight, But well worth it apparently, Really nice beaches.

Or why not go over to US? Somewhere like the florida keyes? only 9 hours, Piece of piss, Just an extra 3 hours ontop of the 6 hours that you wanted John

marbella, i went last year for new years and it was totally fantastic, warm, loadsa game lasses and the biggest parties going, i had a class time, i would recomend it anytime of year.

How about Dubai, always warm. Just watch out for customs .
