Just went outside for a coffee n a ciggie, n as i stepped out i shat myself as i saw a mouse n nearly trod on it. Thought oh fucking cat he's done it again, thought it was dead. Im not a fan of mice at all, well i hate em lol. Dont like how they move so bloody fast. Then as i got closer it moved. Was still alive poor thing. Didnt know what to do really. So i picked him up n put him in the garage. Then went indoors n cut it off some cheese from the lump we got n ive put loads of cheese out there for him which he had a little nibble at. Poor little thing waddled up to me n started sitting next to my leg. N then i put my lighter down a little way away from him and he went over to that n huddled up next to that, probably cus its smaller then me n he felt more comfortable with it. Gona keep checking on it to see how he is.

Didnt know weather to just put him out of his misery or to leave him but i cudnt bring myself to kill it. It clearly has a broken back leg but i dont know if in time it will heal or whatever. Poor little sod. The cat just got chased for a good 20 meters. Bastard cat. Took some pics of him as well.

Same thing happened to me - there is a thread about it here too.

Basically my cat brought me in a little present, dropped off a baby shrew - as small as my thumb nail. I thought it was dying as it was in major shock. Put it in a box with some milk, bread and grain. Came back the next day and it was fine so released it back into the wild.

I did look for chocolate for him but cudnt find any. He did have a munch on the cheese tho. Just went out there n hes moved into a corner n is sleeping i think. Or dieing Still breathing though.

I can't understand how he eats all the things he does, Loads of posh nosh and top range food, He knows loads about food, Eats tons of weird stuff too, Yet he is a skinny little fucker

That's well odd for a wild mouse, Usually they hate human contact and if you try pick them up they bite from fear and feeling threatened

Rip up loads of toilet roll and put it in a shoe box or something then put the little chap in there, With a dish of water too, And any scraps of foods, Not choc or cheese though as they harm mice. Stuff like bits of cut up apple, A bit of buscuit would be ok, breakfast Cereal like brn flakes, cornflakes, Not sugery things etc

If you keep it in captivity, it'll last as long as it normally would I expect, unless the fracture was complicated. I would keep him/her in a little house and love it and pet it and clean out its little hutch, I promise!

I have seen lots of dying animals and people, I feel a lot more sorrow towards animals then i have ever done towards people. If i see a small hurt animal then i try my best to help it. Humans i couldn't give a fuck about lol

Yeah the fact that it sat huddled right up to you is a real good sign that it'll be a good pet, After all it was wild and it still did that, I'd set it up a place to stay. Mice are dead easy to keep, used to keep loads of em when i was younger.

It may well die if you don't put it in a secure box of some kind, It needs to feel secure, I.E all sides need to be covered so it knows it won't get attacked again, Mice have weak hearts and the main reason it will die is because it will have a heart attack

Checjk your nans cupboards, Anything that can contain him so he can feel the sides of the wall inside it so it knows it is safe, Then fill it up with ripped toilet roll.

Do you have any small old card boxes of any kind? Games boxes? Packaging from electrical items? They need to be relatively small i.e nothing bigger or much bigger then a shoe box ish.
