How to get to Coalville

Really want to go storm on nye but struggling with transport. I want to travel from preston, lancs via train. Is it possible to get anywere near the venue? seems there is no station in coalville and leicester is a fair way off. Plus new year trains bound to be a nightmare!! dont want to write this off but seems to be a struggle i need to be hardhouse ravin this new year! last good 1 was magna, its been that long ha ha  Please Help

preston - birmingham - leicester - loughborough then a taxi which would be 15 quid normally,but probs dearer on nye. would take about 5 hours tops to ge there.
