yeh just the bass tis all, its very catchy and quircky but sorta seems that it needs to be more "full sounding" on the kick in. but thats it everything else is perfect.thumbsup

Easy mate, had a little listen, liking the bass so far, the kick works very well with it at the moment... Im not overly keen on the NRG style saw / hoover before the breakdown, but thats just a personal taste thing i think, also i dont feel it works underneath the main riff after the break, they just clash too much... Id think about getting a bit more percussion into the beat too, something nice in the lower midrange to really stand out and fill the gap and maybe change the hovery type NRG riff for something with a bit more soul and originality to it... Also the vocal in the break from fight club could really benefit from some reverb and delays as they sound pretty lifeless at the moment... I cant quite put my finger on which tune it is (getting a bad memory in my old age) but the riff is REALLY similar to a very famous harddance tune, is it Signum ??? anyways, its coming on nicely mate, mixdown wise you are getting your stuff a hell of a lot cleaner now and on the composition side of things it all seems to be in the right places, i just think some of the main sounds could be more original / better and it needs a few tiny tweeks to add some more space to it...

Hope that helps dude... thumbsup

hey thanx for feedback lads, cheers for advice Tom, glad you reckon my productions are coming on, especially the mixdowns. Gonna apply what you said, not sure about removing the nrg style sound at beginning especially if its just a taste thing, think i'd rather ditch the HT and write something different. The HT riff was wrote from scratch, although ive probably reconstructed something ive heard before without even realising. Main thing for me in this project is getting the bass good, which i think its not too far off the standard, as my old stuff was poor on the bottom end.

Thanx again for feedback and taking a listen, will upload after ive changed what you's recommended. Az thumbsup

sounds nice m8, liking the groove to it, but my own humble critique agrees with another i read on this post...could use one more layer to give it some more fire. but the fundamentals and basework are strong, either way its bangin, keep it up smile

wicked effort m8.  plenty of energy, some nice sounds and a killer lead riff.  improvement-wise: the bass could do with some more definition - i couldn't hear the key change too well - maybe beef it up with a mid-rangey layer. i think a longer kick roll on the break would work a treat, as the main section comes in too abruptly.

good stuffthumbsup

thats coming along nicely, the low end is nice and tight but theres something about the bass that annoys me i cant quite put a finger on it but theres not enough clarity, especially in the main section.

In terms of progression you've got all the sweeps and hits nailed, perfect there and breakdown is good

vocal wants some reverb or something it's too dry for me personally.

i'm not into these proper trancey leads but it's still pretty good, why dont you filter it like the nrg riff at the beginning to make it interesting, the two together are clashing though.

top end is ok, but not much going on i like a bit of variation up there.

all in all your sound quality is fucking spot on (better than mine) everything has it's place and i can tell you've been working on this side of things since the last time i heard your stuff so keep it coming. king i've heard a lot worse get signed and the quality is already there for a digi release i reckon, but i dont see the rush in getting things signed personally why not wait untill you think your skills are 100% and then hit releases.

ha ha, I just try and be honest and offer my opions for improvements.  probably comes across harsh as it's easier to critisise.  this track was good in terms of musical content and production skills (with an adjustment to the bass!), and it was right up my street smile
