? Kick drum and bassline keep colliding

On the 16th bar I placed a double kick on the 2nd to last note. The bass, which also has the same position, keep colliding. I've tried adjusting the ADSR variously but get no change. How do i fix this run-in?

You could sidechain your bass or failing that, what does it sound like if you remove the bass note that's causing the problem?

This means that either the kick or the bass sample has silence in front of it. If not then you have your Attack on your ADSR set too high.

Just delete or mute the bass note - I almost always do this if there's a kick fill

That's one of the other things I tried (removing the bass note), I just forgot mention, but it sounds kind of empty. How can I fill that void? 

The only thing I can think of is not loop it every 16 bars...maybe every just every 32.

Try automating the volume envelope for the bass note. So it hits just slightly after the kick hits.

Yep probably dont really need a bass note there if the kick compliments the bass well if it aint workin and clashing then ya just gonna have to ged rid of the note im afraid! smile

I'd try automating at compressor on that bass note so you kick sucks the bass note away although not completely.
