Destructo - Haunting (Clip)

Been working on this for a lil bit, trying to get my head around synths Any feedback good or bad is awsome

Alright mate the production works nice and clean and clear which is cool although definately needs more percussion to fill it out, maybe a longer clap, shorten those bass notes a tad to fall from the kick to give the kick and bass its rythm, maybe put some more fx and things to work off those synths running up to the break also try using parts of vocal with them aswell just things to build it and build it up to the breaks cresendo for its anticipation

I thought the break was too short and needed more of a build up to really kick it into gear.
When you say "more fx and things to work off those synths" what kind of fx?

No wroz mate .. anything dude like maybe another synth stab or parts of the vocal with delay on them, or maybe even a backing riff or arp etc just something to add in the next parts to make it sound abit busyier as it builds up to the break

 

I reckon an acid line coming in in the section just before the break would really suit that track aswell mate but its up to you try ABL2 or d16 psychon plugin`s for a good tb303 acid line 

What Matt said really. The idea is there just needs a few bits to fill it up more. A nice acid line like Matt said would work.

like already said, just filling it out a bit, but the only big thing that i reckon needs work is the bass, instead of 1/8 long change it to 3/32 (3/4 of how long it is already) and it should give it a bit more nrg, maybe bang a sine wave in there too coz its a bit granular at the minute, just to smooth it out n give it more bass.

Kick is spot on imo and look forward to hearing progress.

ps. whats the vocal off, i can't think of it to save my life lol

just needs a bit of variety - it's pretty much the same before and after the break - maybe use a pattern with more, shorter notes or filter the riff before the break; or you could go for a different riff.

Ya been working on a better riff at the moment, I was more concerned about the sound itself, but now that I feel like i have the sound I want, its the riff that needs working :P
