Beats From HellI can see why Gaz and a lot of people are hacked off at the Kutski vote but I can see why he's been given the award, he's been DJing since he was a nipper, influenced people to DJ and produce, has brought a lot of people into the scene via his Radio 1 slot, his musical styles is diverse which brings a lot to the table.

In 2001(ish), 12 Inch Thumpers told me about this very talented kid they were working with in the studio called Kutski.
Not sure if that helps

Limited Editionfair play to kutski - he's done a lot more than most to help things along.
he's open minded enough to support new music without the producers/labels having to kiss his arse, which is a major breath of fresh air
I might not like everything he play's but he seems to strike a good balance with his show and he's got the kind of positive attitude that I wish more people had.

ard oooooseeven so dude, many more peopIe deserve an 'outstanding contibution' award more than he does..i dont see how you can get judged on 1 years work for that, if thats what evo is saying, if thats not what he's saying then i dont see that he has done enough to get that award, thats my opinion and im sticking to it. 
he dj's at weekends and does 2 hours of radio a week, some peeps work every day, hard work too (within the scene)

I'm actually glad 'Hard House Slut' didn't win best track, it is a novelty which caught on but it's no representation of quality credible hard house. There - from the horses mouth

I am sure they are talented DJ's in their own right but for me when I think of Hard Dance HardStyle doesn't even register as such to me.
People are always telling me hard house is dead and electro is the next big thing. I don't change genres due to them being trendy. i have always liked the harder element of dance music and for now it will be Hard NRG all the way.
I don't listen to Radio 1 either, it's not hard enough..........
I voted on the BT one mate and yes we could do with a night celebrate the results, sound very talented hard NRG DJ's on here at the min and really enjoying the more intimate nights out.

ard ooooosehe deserves an award for that im not disputing, but 'outstanding contribution' if you Iook at any other awards ceromony, be it the brits, oscars etc etc is usuaIIy given to someone who has been at the top for ages, with the status of Iegend. Thats what im trying to get accross.

I have admiration for anyone with a passion for their music as strong as yours, it's refreshing. You feel about hard house like I do with hard trance and hardcore, just try not to write off other opinions cos everyone's different at the end of the day.

I worked on the awards for two years when I worked at TID and they most certainly are not fixed. If you saw the voting data you'd see just how popular hardstyle is in comparison to everything else.
