Label owners (mainly of the bigger labels) not replying to tunes you send them?

its well known dude they must get tons of emails and links to myspaces, sendspace, soundcloud etc etc etc..i know that music is wicked but very time consuming they dont do it to be a bastardo

send the tracks to us smaller labels then mate lol.

In Hard House i doubt they get many emails, what you supposed to do? Send it 5 times and look like a tool?

If its the bigger labels then yeh i can see them getting a good few emails but its not hard to get back and say "no sorry" or "yes it sounds good".

I get sent a few hundred tracks a week via soundcloud/email etc. I couldn't possibly reply to them all!

Needless to say, if somebody sends me something I'm interested in I'll get back to them - but that happens rarely. It's usually a case of being sent stuff that really isn't suitable for the labels OR I can see it's been mailed to 50 odd people, in which case it would be a waste of time signing it as the whole world and his dog would have it by the time of release.

I actively search people out and try to help and encourage producers where I can.  Even if I can't take a track I may be able to suggest a home to the producer if I think it will suit another label better or they would get a better deal doing it a different way.

I help out a lot of people behind the scenes - if I think they deserve it - and on the flipside I have no time for arse kissers who like to be all matey, matey to get a cheap remix or track off me. Do one --->

Get on facebook or msn mate, then pretend ur actually interested in what that label manager or co manager has to say. Pukka thoughs lips up really tight and get them kissing that royal arse. From what i hear (In fact its what we see) i works a treat. If that fails try bunching ur 4 fingers and thumb together and shove it right up there, real deep. So deep its almost as if u have kermit the frog on the end of ur wrist!!! IF THAT FAILS, get on here and praise them to the nines

Not sure about anyone else but I try to email to say thanks for sending - but it's near impossible to get back to everyone with feedback. Although I do try.  I've got a folder on my desktop with about 70 tracks in that Im going to go through later today - but if i wasnt away Id probably not get time to listen to most of them. Its a big task to keep on top of it

I used to get sent loads of proper, proper shite through the post when TTUK was a vinyl label, I never used to get back to em mainly cos I don't like being rude (not to complete strangers anyway) and tellin them what I though of it.

 

good point, there is a chance your tunes are just utter guff.
