Right in a previous topic I mentioned that a remix I was working on crashed reseting all the synth sounds for some mysterious reason. Ive now completed this track and sounds really good but when I export the track there seems to be a small bit of distortion right through which at first I thought it was from when I mastered it but its not. Ive whacked up my track in cubase and can't hear any distortion there so unless my ears are completly fucked it just seems a prob in the exprt. Which seems unusual because even in real time export its still there!!

I have used quite a bit of distorion on various things in the track so is it possible to much of it would create this prob? Or is there something else?

Have you tried just dropping the master fader down a bit prior to exporting?

I have ya! Originally had it up by 0 then dropped to like -2 and still happens! Should I attempt more?

Could possibly be a softare glitch but the distorion doesn't cut through until the export. Im using hhb circle 5 speakers and am wondering are these affecting what im hearing although they are a decent set of speakers.

the speakers are the last thing you should worry about. Probably a dodgy plugin...

maybe make a copy of the project and disable all distortion plugins, then bounce and see what happens?

try exporting the track in 2 parts and see if the distortion effects both tracks ?

I was about to try some of the ideas above but decided id monitor the cpu usage during export and even with just 1 track solo'd the cpu will hit up as high as 77!!! Surely thats not right is it?

Do a realtime export, see if it helps out...

probably a dodgy plugin.... cpu usage shouldnt effect the quality of the exported track.  assume you got none of faders in the red or overloading? try disabling any plugins on the master bus and try exporting again

I have this sorted now... I think!! Changed the kick and 1 or 2 other things and seems to of done the job. Seems ok but will have to wait and see what label thinks. What a head fuckangry
