Tend to have all my perc through it as said,with same old settings and just shift threshold until its kicks better.
Occasionally i shoved one on vocals + odd sound if someone on heres say it might help.

I've seen countless videos,etc,but can never really hear a great diff apart from on perc.

Did bring this sound out more and didn't take it out of green on mixer which is what i always keep my sounds in.

this is kinda what it was designed for - as the loud peaks are getting dipped in volume you can bring the quiter peaks up without clipping
