Yeah of course i can understand that people want to support their country and like football........ i just can't find any sane reason to do so. It doesn't benefit you or anyone else in the slightest, if anything it causes trouble and bad feeling at every turn because someone else always loses and that makes for ridiculous gripes with each other. I've never seen a group of people coming together in complete unison because there was a draw for instance, it just gets dealt with by bitching, fighting and ultimately more bad feeling. Next to religion and politics, football is probably the biggest cause of violence worldwide...... how is that worth anything to anyone except those directly involved???
With all the money that the players don't actually need (like most of what they get paid) we could feed, cloth and house a shit load of unfortunate people around the world. People that in most cases would get the sympathy of most of the worlds population if it was shown on tv as much as football but as it's not, we forget that and simply watch a bunch of pansies run around a field kicking a ball with an air of superiority until they sweat a bit and then go and get pissed up and act like gods..... and then people stick up for them by saying it's bad timing by the press for dishing it out when we are playing our "toughest game in the group". Like that's going to make a difference, they're supposed to be professionals.... if they can't play properly under a bit of pressure, what the fuck are they doing getting paid all that money, i mean seriously, there's no defence in your statement.
Maybe the issue is that stuff like this distracts people from what's really going on the world right?
What a load of shit that is and from someone who constantly telling people not to believe what the media say generally. They naturally concentrate on the worst element of it and violence through general drunken behaviour and things such as land is two things I quickly can put in there as being MUCH worse. A lot of people like the game in this country, there are four professional divisions of clubs, none league, womens footy and things such as local and Sunday league teams. I was a season ticket holder for the team I follow for 11-12 seasons, went to many away games and still go occasionally. I have seen violence at games but not as much as people from an outside perspective may think.
The pay for footballers these days is far too much but we have the likes of Mr Murdock to thank for that to be honest. People do pump money into it yes but they do lots of other sports, films, music etc. All of which have over paid people and if we all didn't bother with past times I am sure a lot of the worlds problems could get more cash but life would be so much more dull for it and we would get lots of issues out of the back of that.
Your wording of things doesn't surprise me after previous discussions about various things as you have your opinions again and naturally you have a superioty of those who choose to spend time being entertained by a game of pansies running around kicking a ball around.
