Mobile Phone Insurance

Morning all,

 

Got myself an iPhone 4 a few weeks ago, but decided not to take out the insurance with Vodafone cause they wanted £15 a month! I had a brief look on line before I made the decision and found you can get cover from about £5 a month.

 

Now I've gone to set it up, I'm a bit like a rabbit in headlights. There's so many exclusions and clauses, so I thought I'd ask if anyone on here can make any recommendations?

 

i never bothered with it, they wanted about £10 a month to cover mine and if i had any problems with mine id just smash it up and claim from the house insurance . failing that if i lost it then id just have to buy another but i have a spare phone to use to go out on the piss with so hopefully i will never loose it lol

Yeah if you have house insurance you usually just have to pay the excess which is usually between £50-£100?

Mines covered on my personal possessions of my house insurance, if you have house insurance check with them first.

I've got mine free with my bank account, might be worth looking into.

I had my 3gs insured with O2 for €10 a month, had to pay €65 excess when it was nicked and I got a HTC Desire as a replacement - worth having IMO.

I dropped the O2 insurance with my phone last year.
