No the lashes euphoria's are engineered. Amo from Tidy used to do them I think, but Ingo did the last one.

i'm not saying that the trainwrecking CDs that you hear are engineered...some are mixed live...but most are mixed in a studio by an engineer and they just use the DJs name to sell them or market them.

a lot of the mixed CDs that you buy in stores aren't even mixed by the DJ themselves. they basically work with a record label to suggest and license some tracks and then they go into a studio and the engineer mixes them together...that's why when you see the dj live they usually mix differently than their mix CD. they are useing their name to sell CDs...or using the CD to promote their name or sell magazines, etc...

i used to work at an indie record label that created compilations...i've also worked at major record labels and this is how they do it....they couldn't afford the time to sit their while the DJ has to go through a million mix sessions just to get their CD perfect before pressing...so they get an engineer to do it on computer...

true. Ferry Corsten live at dance valley 2001 is a good example. they had a video of him playing there and he played "Intensify Pt.1" and then mixed "Club Quake (Oliver Klein Hard Remix)" into it, but here is the tracklist laughing

1.    Intensify Pt.1
2.    Soulshaka
3.    Hot Like The Sun
4.    Club Quake (Oliver Klein Hard Remix)
5.    Pachinko
6.    Such Is Live (Marco V Remix)..................

I have some old EDM mix cd's called 'Hard Trance X-Plosion' that are mixed by DJ Mello-D that have some absolutely mind-fuckingly bad mixing. Ok, those old German tunes aren't the easiest to mix, but at times you start making all kinds of weird involuntary grimacing gestures.

Which looks weird on a rush hour subway. People start edging away.

What!?  I thought avin it was mixed top notch - ok the beatmatching is *slightly* out here & there, but the technical side is pretty sweet..

I guess cos I used to think it was perfect and then later on realised it wasn't as tight as I remembered it. Still top mix though. thumbsup

Just listening to Ant live at Intro in Wroclaw right now and it's pretty sloppy (is a live recording though).

Thermobee live at Lodz is even worse - trainwrecks everywhere! Do they put something in the water in Poland or what? uhoh
