For a house move it's the way forward! £160 +VAT for a month of just dumping whatever shit I like apart from TVs, Fridges and Tyres. But I can chuck glass, sofas, rubbish whatever else.

Ahhhh, no final move day bags of miscellaneous crap that is too annoying to bag up and dispose of..

2 points of note here, A: I'm old and sad enough now to be happy over hiring a skip. (From a boy that still went to a hard dance event NYE and got on it)
B: That I have enough crap in a house move to justify the hiring of a skip.

Why dont you just drive it down the tip for free?

You don't get it, this isn't a money saving exercise. This is about my convenience, I don't want to have to arrange taking 3 seater sofa and rolls of old carpet down the tip. I can just dump it on site.

Just a quick update for all you crazy skip fans out there. I filled my skip today and I have to say the experience was most liberating as I thought it would be.

I even smashed and skipped a glass bong I bought in Venice California and have been holding onto for years.

good bloody man Gonna hire a skip in the near future - got me a very overgrown garden to clear along with old kids paraphanalia (sp?) and lean toos etc. SKIP THEM FUCKERS

Make sure you shop around for it. Ask the question about how long you can keep it. Some said a week only, I got mine for a month no hassle and for £150.
