EXPANDER – ASSIMILATION

 

RULES

 

1. The samples provided in the pack must only be used in this competition and not be used for any other project or track, any other use will be in breach of copyright.
2. All tracks submitted must be in 192kbpsMP3.
3. All tracks submitted MUST include the sample “Banging Tune Competition 2005“ 3 TIMES in your submitted version. (To be dubbed over your track in places to protect copyright AND THEFT)
4. PLEASE create a back up your original mix (undubbed)
5. NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO USE AN ENGINEER!!!
6. ANYONE WHO DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THESE RULES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED  INSTANTLY!!!!!

 

   7.  The deadline will be the 6^th of MAY 2005  (ANY LATER and you will be disqualified)

 

DETAILS

 

1. All tracks will be sent to a neutral person (ZIGGY MARLON) who is not involved in the competition. Who will log each track name and entrant and then assign that track a number (eg.#Track1). Tracks will be uploaded by number only and only when the judges have decided shall the identities be revealed.
2. All tracks must be sent to or collected by ZIGGY MARLON

 

 

JUDGING

 

Due to the amount of expected entries, there will be no public vote!!!

 

ONLY IN THE EVENT OF A TIED SCORE SHALL A PUBLIC VOTE TAKE PLACE!!!

 

Judges will be kept anonymous.

Judging will be decided on the following…

 

1. Use of samples
2. Production Technique
3. Mastering Technique
4. Overall track

      

Judges will give a maximum of 5 points per category.

 

THE PRIZE

 

The winning remix will have their track signed to one of TranzmitRecordings digital labels for a full release and a percentage of the profits.

TBH Dave, didnt think about that... But with 50 people showing interest I think that maybe enough..

I will keep adding names till this Friday then it is closed to any more entrants...

When your tracks are finished contact Ziggy to work out how to transfer them to him....

shitballs... may have to back out as i have my final year project now, and uni exams in may (and unfortunately tracks don't come quick for me!)

i only ask cause i started out this mornin wid the pack an have ended up witha pretty dirty breaks thing going on , an id like to do a hard dance one as well ,  but im really digging the breaks one at the mo . !!!!

Surely you would want to have your entry in a style to which the concerned label is involved... seems kinda pointless if you won with an awesome track that wouldnt be suitable for release

Not sure about submitting 2 tracks mate.. Think that give you an unfair advantage...

Make 2 and choose the best one...

I can't seem to use the sample. Not recognised for some reason.

 

I dont think il be entering this comp because my comp is so shit and slow I can only use a small few things before it tells me "your computer is too slow to play songs".

 

I want the samples to practice with.

Looks Great ... I'm going to have to withdraw though ... No chance of doing anything fun over the next few months as I just started a new job and it's a bit of a Deepend Dive if you know what I mean !!!!

just had a listen to the samples, are the vox ones meant to be that short as they seemed much longer in the track?
