Funny you should mention that, I was looking at it this morning and was about to buy it (online) but after a few looks around i found it got really bad reviews for things going wrong on it

Epson PX720WD is cheap at the mo and prints epic photos and will print on CD's too. It's also got wireless and Dulpex (double sided) printing as standard

If you want to print epic photo's, you will need an Epson IMO.  Trouble is, it will set you back £100 for a set of cartridges.

Inkjet are a fucking liability when it comes to Ink, because not only do they drink the stuff, but you also get dry ups etc when they are not in regular use, and they drink half a cartridge to remedy the situation.

So in the end i have an Epson FX660 for photo printing/scanning which you can get for about £100 and its superb.

I also bought a Samsung colour laser which is fucking superb for the money for printing out all my non photo stuff, much more economical and less than a set of inkjet carts and the carts you get in it are good for 700 pages.  I have yet to run out of toner, but when i do I will be experimenting with 3rd part toner that you fill the original carts up with as you can get it pretty cheap and I dont care about the quality, something you CANNOT do on photo printers - cheap inkjet ink is shit for photos and will ruin your printer.

CANON - Dont get the two ink tank jobies as they ARE crap.

I have had an IP5200 for years now..... seperate ink tanks (chipped but got the resetter & refills) prints both sides...... got two paper try holders... border printing and prints direct to CD's - Fantastic printing!!

It also strips down easy for cleaning.

you can stick ya HP, Epson and that other shit make... lexmark up ya arse.

Get a seperate scanner.... these scanners on the all in ones are made like shit. I have had a few all-in-one's in to fix and notices how badly made they were.. got an Epson Scanner...works a treat, especially with windows 7 64 + MAC... and its tiny. Self powered so it doesnt suck the life out of the USB sockets.

One other tip is to get a cheap laser printer too.... fantastic for massive ordinary printing. toner lasts over a year or two and can be refilled for around £14!! This saves the colour ink in the Inkjet.

I've got a similar model to Simon's and I can't fault it. Sometimes I think it's going through cartridges a bit faster than I'd like, but at £25-odd for a multipack of new ones (that gets you about 4 of each), who gives a sh*t!?
