In reply toYe and im very sick of listening to those pianos. In my opinion it does'nt suit hardhouse, makes it sound very comercial and cheesy.
Totally disagree with this, I love it and it's a sound I feel really strongly about.
I can't understand why anyone would say they hate or even dislike the piano tracks, especially since most HH heads who've grown up listening to dance music will surely have got into it via the early 90s stuff. The pianos being used are one of the defining sounds of classic dance, if not THE definitive sound. Dance music was at its commercial peak when that sound first came out in the 90s, how is that a bad thing? It represents club music at its best and it's stood the test of time, hence why the HH stuff sampling it is so popular.
I agree they are a little ubiquitous at the mo but it compliments the traditional HH sound perfectly IMO, proper brings it to life

I asked Stevens what he started doing the piano stuff for and his reply was that hard house is meant to be party music regardless of how tough it is, and I 110% agree.
