A year or two ago i'd big a mac up....
But to go to a mac for logic is insane, it's got a nice charm about it, but it feel dated... because imo it is.
That leaves the hardware itself, and for the same price a quid for quid fight between the mac and a pc, would be like pitting stephen hawkins against tyson.
Not to mention more VST, more hardware support etc etc etc. Also if your mac goes tits, its an expensive do to sort out, whereas pc is like a 6 piece jigsaw puzzle you can fix yourself for cheap. I built my mate a 8gb ram, 2TB HDD and 4.2Ghz i5 CPU for 400 quid with a mediocre graphics card = win.
Simple things can also become a chore... and most people I know with macs end up using bootcamp to install windows on it....
A modern MAC is pc components now, just an overpriced variant... and thats the truth. If you insist on logic, then build a hackintosh....
