Yes, many times. Last saw him at Hardon a few years back when he stuck his fingers up my nose! munted laughing
He hasn't set foot in trade since the last one at Turnmills.
Did you go to the anniversary this year?

Theres a live Glen Miller set from 1996 floating about that reaches the 160bpm mark, playing alot of german hard trance stuff towards the end of it.

Think the last couple of tunes on TDV's Trade Vol 1 & Wardmans Trade 4 mixes also reach the 160bpm mark.

A Tardis To Brooklyn on Wardmans mix had to be slowed down a bit as the original bpm was like 175-180

A few mate to be honest Dyewitness - Trancore (trade vol 2 Ian M mix I think?) thats gotta be 180 at zero pitch
Kleine Boiz - Eine Kleine Nacht Muzik (trade vol 1, tdv mix) again, a good 180 bpm
Even the original mix of Are am Eye is fuckin fast, needs pitchin down to -4 ish to get into a hH mix, hehe
The challenges of old stuff is the variety of bpms, some tracks were made in the early 140's, and some as fast as 180, coupled with the fact decks only went to +8 (without tinkering). People that have only mixed modern stuff, all made within a few bpm tollerance, and with cdj's they don't know they are born lol
NooNoo puts in English what I was trying to ask lol I.E. were those tracks played at normal pace or pitched down to fit Hard House type territory?thumbsup
No, normal pace, one of their old slogans is "No speed limit".
Great slogan that love

He was as mad as a box of frogs. I think Pete Wardman made a track for him with a "Kenny the lightstick man" sample. I heard him play it a few times.

No I didn't go I'm too old and lazy now to stay up all night dancing to repetitive beats.laughing I would have made an effort if it was at Turnmills though.

Yes, he was mad, loveable guy. I always danced where he used to perform, by the bridge stair bit. Totally mesmerised by him.
Yes, body parts hurt more these days to stay up all night. violent

The BPMs would peak with Ian M and TDV. The job of the last DJ, i.e Tall Paul or Wardman was to make things a bit more uplifting and brighter than the previous hours. Wardman would've done it differently than Tall Paul though.
I don't think it was that planned out TBH, Tall Paul got given a slot a Trade as a favour - his Dad was the owner of Turnmills.

I reckon it was planned out. I don't think the seamless progression that Trade was renowned for came together by accident. smile
Except Tall Paul started playing at the club a couple of years before the classic line up that played a seamless progression. I think they put him on last because when he first started he wasn't that good. thumbsup

I know. smile

As for not being that good etc, you may know something I don't. If that is the case, they perversely still got him to mix a disc on Trade Volume 2.

Haha.. very true noo noo ^^

I found this when mixing my Trade classics vinyl mix last month.. Not to mention the different arrangements.. Basslines dropping in at 20 seconds into a tune.. early breaks at 35 seconds in.. All over the shop back then.
The newer generation have it all too easy. laughing
laughing Yeah the trade style stuff is a lot harder to mix.All the early tripoli trax etc were not the most DJ friendly tracks.Tom Deluxe ' ma definition of house' and Kinky Roland ' Bonkers ' were particularly annoying when mastering how to mix them.It was all very late mixes with the majority of the tracks. That is what's so annoying when you see all these little dicks with there cdj's and funky house thinking there fucking judge jules when there more like judge judy dench laughing.
Tis always great to turn up at house parties and ask 'if it's ok to have a quick mix' followed by some obscure fucked up breaky/techy/dirty/riffy/messy music which does not appear to be following any set beat structure - let's see you mix into that you little shit bag ya
