i remember when i got this oldy and thought i'd struck gold ..

I remember someone on here saying the thing with buying vinyl was it brought out the collector in everyone. I totally agree.

dont think i'll ever sell my vinyl. all in the attic and ive sold my turntables but im sure i'll buy another pair in the next few years for a good old blast on the plastic smile

I got the majority of my stuff from BT online, I used to phone Kinetec before it got taken over by BT and get a few tunes occassionally.

We had a good shop, you may have heard of Hotwax record (jon whiteman and Ingo) used to work there, but I wasn't quite sure which one was which so never really chatted to em. I was more into the techno than the HH.

I used to get some HH from HMV in Lincoln, they had a few Neuklez and milked stuff.

Years back there was a small record shop called Peekays in Lincoln and this is where I used to get my imported dutch hardcore stuff, we literally lived in that shop while we were at college.

when i lived in brum i used to go in htfr and 3 shades, when i moved back to essex it was mainly online, here, and vicious... there was a record shop in colchester that i went to for a while, but gave up when i realised i knew more about hard house than the fella that reckoned he knew it all laughing

visited my mate up in brum one week who had the newest vicious, went to this shop and asked for it, and got told it wasn't out yet... that was the final straw and switched to searching and buying all my vinyl online after that

Here for a while then Spinadisk (Northampton) for a short time before pretty much exclusively using Spun Out (Northampton) until I stopped buying new vinyls.  Used to be ahead of the racking all the time in the later and used to time my visits for the weekly packs containing releases and promos biggrin

Used this place till it stopped selling. I hear Brum was really good for buying HH. Never went for tunes tho. Just clubbing at Sanctuary and Code.

So where did you used to buy and what were your favourite places?

Think Disc was my fave. Lee there was always really helpful pulling tracks out to check oot. Also Pete Monsoon at Bradleys in Halifax although they ended up going down the bounce route so i stopped buying from there after a while.
When i first got my decks, i used to always go to the disc. was a great shop. used to spend an entire afternoon in there when i went! and your right, Leigh was quality working there! used to always pick out some right gems for you! !

I used to also go to the record box in leeds, and when i first went to uni i also used to occasionally pop over to htfr.

Until he stole from them..........apparently!! I used to use here, Klick Klick before and there was a small one open in Keighley for a while called Happy House.  That was good. Bought Dammit Janet from there, that was a good day! love
