I think it's one of those things that can really help separate yourself from other DJs. I think had I not scratched I would probably not have gotten to where I am today. With that being said though, I scratch alot less than I used to. I think I abused it alot in the beginning it's what gets u noticed

I personally think as a transitional tool during the sections where a track is building into the breakdown or "blending time" it can really work to inject a little bit more pace and energy into the set.
And ilogik is wicked, his sundissential CD way back was one of those "wow" moments that made me want to "do that wikki wikki thing" over hard house. Legend.
