I practically have, My son plays the xbox all the time now, I will play GTA 5 though I can just about manage that.

Driver 1 was so hard, I couldn't even pass the driving test to get to the first level so I never actually got to play the game.
That was piss easy once you knew what you were doing... The recent Driver SF game (great game btw) included that parking garage bit, was a great blast from the past doing it all over again!

Hardest modern arcade game is definitely super meat boy. check this fucking level out. 


It took me about 40 minutes to do this one, probably the hardest level in the game.

As for oldies, probably stuff like altered beast, gradius, R-type etc. All the stuff that was designed purposefully impossible to keep getting your money from you at the arcade. laughing 
Jesus christ... Totally forgot about that game for some reason!
Such a tightly controlled little bastard of a game... If you you die, you've only ever got yourself to blame... And you'll die a fucking lot!!

This just reminded me that I need to check out "The Binding of Isaac" as well, it's supposed to be an absolute gem!

Haha, that video says it all really! Instead of uploading a video of the player breezing through it, they uploaded one of them repeatedly trying the same tiny level, then giving up after almost 8 minutes...

The binding of Isaac is brilliant mate, picked it up myself about a week ago.

Oh, and those three optional bosses at the end of Final Fantasy 7 were absolute cunts. That and those super fiends you could generate in FFX.

Ruby, Emerald and Ultima? I actually found em quite easy, but i was liek 15 when i had it n spent hours n hours n hours levelling up n such, dont think i could be arsed now.

FF X Was ridiculous for that. Unless u did the tonberry level up trick u could literally spend 100+ hours maxing out the sphere grid in order to take on pennance. Was playing X the other day n ending up smashing my only ps2 controller trying to do that fucking chocobo race to get Tidus' ultimate weapon

I have a 200+ hr save game for FFX somewhere.  I beat everything but wanted to max out everything and the "winning spheres off the eartheater in the monster arena to then transform into some other type of sphere" grind became too much.  Gave it up.  Also...blitz ball?  Wank ball, more like.

 

FF8 tops the lot for me.



Were you going for the luck spheres with earth eater? Normally what people do it for. The ammount of power leveling required for that game is fucking insane! I just didnt have the patience. 

FF8 is epic biggrin Completed it again about 6 months ago n killed everything including omega for the first time (could never do it as a kid) Defo my second fav behind 7. Amazing game smile

Luck spheres, that's it, cheers!  I'm totally at home with power levelling, but that *was* insane.  7 was my first FF experience, I borrowed a mate's PS at uni one night and played it for 8 hours straight off  biggrin
