Spilled wine on my mates Mac Book?

We dried it immeditaly and left a heater next to in on low all night, any other ideas for sorting it? It wouldnt knock on this morn.

if it was red you should of poured white on it to clean it up.

It was Ellis's. Wouldnt bother me but i have Snowbombing Fest to go to in April and Australia to save for, this just messes things up a bit, wont be going Snowbombing if it doesnt fix.

The problem is now it wont turn on, If it wasn't fully dry when you turned it on then it will have fried it the moment you turn the power on. I had the same thing with mine a couple of years back, But i left it in the airing cupboard for well over a week. No matter what happens, you'll have to get him a new one as wine goes all sticky and aweful after drying, So it'll fuck up the mac book inside anyway after time. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Daz.

Surely stuff like this is covered on house insurance? Ive seen people throw laptops down the stairs to claim for a new on.

Yes if you have it, It will be under accident damage.

Get a PC 

yeh that. I spilled beer in me laptop and broke it and got a voucher for a new one off me insurance.

Or, just own up what you did and pay for it.

Do you have an of those silica gel sachets knocking about? That'll draw any excess moisture out very quickly.

He knows i done it, it was left on the floor by 2 open bottles and i knock one over. Gutted to be honest.

First thing you should do whenever you spill any liquid on an electronic item is unplug the power supply and then the battery!!

Leaving the battery on is what kills it. Water/liquid is an electrical conductor and will cause mayhem in all sorts of areas.

Laptops are also very sensitive to static, so it doesn't look good I'm afraid.
