I know some of you don't like him, but don't you think this racial abuse case is turning into a farce?

I mean, for some fucking reason the courts have delayed the court case because it may disrupt Chelsea/England football teams - Even as a Chelsea supporter, who gives a fuck? If there is enough "evidence" to bring this to court, why the fuck should it be delayed because of football?

Now in the news, its claimed the FA are going to "tell" capello to remove his England captancy from him until after the court case. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? If the FA are convinced he is guilty, they should intervene and have the court case held NOW, and if he is guilty, then never let him play for England again.

The whole thing just stinks of hypocrisy.

Ive been wondering that myself. Why keep delaying it? Just get on with it ffs. Its ridiculous. Suarez didnt have this special treatment, he was up n court n his verdict given pretty sharpish. So why shouldnt Terry? They are constantly going on about stamping out racism in football and this is beginning to make that statement look like an absolute joke.

i agree completely wrong way of doing things. the fact they cancelled all handshakes last week means that something did happen to me. and on sunday he wont play so he doesnt have to shake rios hand.

JOHN TERRY has been stripped of the England captaincy by the FA, SunSport can confirm.

The Chelsea defender will NOT lead the Three Lions at this summer's Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Terry was informed of the decision in phone call at 10am this morning from FA chairman David Bernstein.

The FA move comes after Terry's court case for alleged racial abuse against QPR defender Anton Ferdinand was delayed until July 9.

Terry has captained England since the incident with Ferdinand at Loftus Road on October 23 last year.

But crucially, the 31-year-old had not been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service at that stage.

Three Lions boss Fabio Capello maintained that Terry was innocent until proven guilty and the Chelsea skipper featured in England's 1-0 win over Sweden in November.

The Italian is already having to cope with striker Wayne Rooney's absence from the first two games as he serves a suspension for his red card in England's final qualifier in Montenegro.

England are not due to play again until February 29 when they take on Holland in a friendly at Wembley.

Terry, who faces a maximum fine of £2,500 if convicted, has repeatedly denied making the alleged slur.

Damian Collins, a Tory MP who sits on the culture, media and sport committee and who has made a name for himself as a campaigner for FIFA reform, said: "He is in a public position as England captain.

"Anyone else in a public position faced with such a criminal charge would stand aside from their position and then if cleared be able to return to that position.

"This has gone beyond being an allegation. He has been charged and has to appear in court and I don't think under those circumstances he can fulfil his duties.

"It is also what it means for communities across the country if people just close their eyes to the situation until after the court case."

The possible presence of Rio Ferdinand, Anton's brother, in the England squad could also be a factor in the decision.

And Reading striker Jason Roberts this week tweeted: "Believe me...the dressing room at the Euros will be TOXIC unless the correct decision is made."

That's not true, the only reason the court case has been delayed is because the Chelsea chairman sent the judge a letting asking him to because it would affect the football and Euro championships - no reason why they FA couldnt have sent him another note saying, bollocks, do it now we want it over with.

If they are doing him on Racially aggrevated public order offence ie Section 4 of the Public Order Act the complaint cannot come from the crowd, this will be his defence (ie statatory defence), Anton has admitted he didn't hear anything so he cannot have felt harrassed, in fear of violence from John Terry and the member of the crowd cannot feel fear on behalf of Anton.

The only way round this is for it to be Section 3 of Public Order Act but this is simply not AFRRAY.

Terry will get off this on a technical arguement of the stated law.

I agree Gerrard should have got it in the first place. He's a a real leader and unlike terry has morals. And that is what a captain should have. I think there are better centre backs out there: Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Michael Dawson, Gary Cahill, Ledley King (if it wasnt for his knee problems he would be the best centre back in the country without a doubt)

What i meant was the decision was given pretty sharpish to ban him. Difference is the Suarez indecent was handled by the FA because it was mentioned in the match report, whereas the Terry one wasnt and was looked at after, but why that means legal proceedings didnt follow for Suarez i dont know.

most of the england team are aresholes one way or another.

I say give it to Scott Parker. He has a real desire everytime he plays and hasn't had a proper go at a tournament like the other who have and bottled it.

He doesn't get in the papers for anything other than football and Adebayor aside has been the force needed to take Tottenham to a boarder line Title challenging side.
