Once again your confusing bodybuilding with powerlifting.
Climbing a ladder all day is not strength. I don't know what part of your little mind you don't understand about it. Someone asked about protein, and we give our opinion, and you start giving it the 'bodybuilders can't work on building sites'.
So fucking what!>?
Bodybuilders train for size (irony), and powerlifters train for power and strength (even more irony). If you honestly think the typical brickie or laborer is as strong as a trained athlete in any of the disciplines you are seriously deluded.
As for moving something from A to B... Yes I can, I do farmers carries as part of my warm up routine, which involves carrying 2 x 140kg sleds 3 x 30m.
As for the ladder, I do rope climbs with a 40kg bergan on, so yes again.
If the guy wants protein shakes so he can work on this worlds hardest building site you imagined up in your head then take a fuckin bow, you gave him the best advice ever.
As far as I knew, he wanted to build a bit of muscle and lose fat.... which has no correlation to working on a building site.
Secondly.... even if I were to entertain your argument which is completely seperate to strength etc etc....
Anecdote....
Mr.A plays on his xbox all day everyday, and gets a job on a building site.
Mr.B goes to the gym everyday, eats well, and is in good shape.
So, with your maths, mr.A getst he job because he's not a bodybuilder. Please tell me you aren't for real.
If this is one big wind up and i've fell for it, i feel stupid. if not, then you need to give your head a shake
