Billy Bunter - Let it Lift You  is my all time fave.  Takes me back to the Rythym Station in Aldershot.  Loved the Fusion Nights there!  Proper sweaty hole, but absolutly brilliant!  love

I loved the SMD stuff, I never really dj'd happy hardcore, I was more into the evil dutch techno and gabba, but I used to dj every week round my mates house and he played happy hardcore.

We also went to the pleasuredome a few times so my love of dj'ing started around this time.

Paul worked at one of the distros so used to go up there and get their stuff early. Used to push all the trancecore in my shop, Bunter etc. I did an interview in Dream magazine about the shop, great pic outside looking like a bunch of rudeboys laughing

when I think of happy hardcore I think of the new shit stuff. I don't actually know the name of 1 of them tunes.

The old stuff I just think of as hardcore...confusing.

anyways few spring to mind:

Really just a case of by '94 things were going more ragga jungle on one side and more happy the other, and more 4/4.

The remix of that is very good also, think it was Donna Grassie for vocals. Just listening to a few of those old Hectics etc they did, still damn good tunes.

I still love all these tunes and I don't give a fuck if the minimal tech - plonk clicky squad takes the piss, it was this music that got me into electronic tunes and I'll always appreciate the past. thumbsup

Dougal @ Devotion every friday night diggers. They turned that club into a old peoples home now. Selfish bastards.

Who will be first to admit to loving shooting star (Apart from Frank Farrel)?  I do have all 5 version on vinyl and used to love it back in the day but know it does make me cringe some what, heart of gold has the same effect. I cant even listen to them now though.  I have hammered both on vinyl and tapes way to many times. Never again...

Absolute legend! Not a happy hardcore fan but love his tunes and his trancore/freeform was responsible for me getting into the faster side of things.

This was one of my faves.  Loved all the old breakbeat happy hardcore before it went all stompy.  Dream FM was the soundtrack to my teenage years.

^^Got a frantic call from the distributors about someone getting battered in a record shop over a release on this label. The guy was like just take them off the shelf laughing

Cool tune from Vibena at the time, bit different
