REMIX COMPETITION: MAY 2005
To remix OD404 “You Aint Winnin” on Kaktai Records.
First & foremost this competition has been devised to showcase any
hidden talented artists out there but obviously any one can enter.
The winner will have their remix released on Kaktai records and will
get paid a remix fee of £300 along with some Kaktai merchandise.
Five runners up will also receive selected merchandise items.
As the winning mix will be appearing on Kaktai we would ask for entries
to be submitted in a style suitable for our label otherwise they may
stand a harder chance of winning, even if we love it…
Samples to both sides of the original OD404 release will be available to use in entries.
You can choose to use as many or as little as you wish.

Entry Rules:
Only one entry per person will be allowed.
Professional engineers should not be used or employed to master or mix the entry.
The samples provided must not be used in other productions as this would be in breech of copyright.
All samples used in the remix apart from the ones supplied by Kaktai Records should be cleared.
Any entries that contain samples, which are not cleared for use, may be omitted from the competition.
Any entries that have been passed to 3rd parties (dj’s) will
automatically be disqualified. This is to ensure no premature
sampling/playing of mixes which could affect the competition
outcome.
All entries will be judged by Kaktai Records, as we will be paying for
the remix we want to be sure that the winning entry is suitable for the
label.
A fee of £300 will be paid to the winning artist.
In the event that the winning entry contains more than one artist, the
fee of £300 will be split between all parties equally otherwise
requested.
The winning entry will also receive five copies of the finished release per person along with some other Kaktai merchandise.
There will be five runners up to the competition who will each receive
two complimentary copies of the winning release and some Kaktai
merchandise
Competition Deadline:
Entries must be submitted to Kaktai Records on CD to the below address by 1st July 2005.

The winning mix will be announced on the Banging Tunes forum on 8th July 2005.
