Buying one the weekend and dont want to buy a wank one. I've seen some that look great in the shop only to read on the net they have this, that and the other wrong with them.

I want to be able to connect it to an amp so a Line I/O is essential.

Must be able to delete tracks from the memory aswell as store data files such as games, pics, applications etc.

At least 20gb.

Must have been assembled by a Transylvanian called Bob.

Sure I read somewhere that you cant delete tracks from the memory or transfer them to another player or something to that effect.

Ive got a creative nomad... It works great, and its easly to use. One thing I dont care for is the little toggle switch.

Thinking about picking this one up next.

I have had one of these for about a month.  It plays mp3' and WAV along with certain video files on a good quality screen.  I have a load of music on there along with a few edisodes of Spaced, South Park and a bit of Borat.  It also has a picture viewer and can store all sorts of files (doc, pdf etc) as it is basically a 20GB portable hard drive with the optain of having a memory card adapter for the MMC etc camera memory sticks. You can get certain games on it as well (from the Archos site).

On the downside it doesn't have the wheel thingy of an Ipod and it's French, but you don't have to pay the £50 extra just because it's an Ipod and you get a lot for your money.  I read as many reviews as possible and am not dissappointed with my choice although I have only seen one other person with one I don't know about long term.

Oh and it was £200 from Blokestuff.com

I've had an iAudio M3 for a few months and its quality. It records from line in, has a radio, voice recorder and is easy to use. I was thinking of an Ipod but my other half has one and apart from the nice wheel they seem pretty crap for the amount of money they cost. iAudio M3 -> http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002OXOZW/qid=1118139287/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/026-8427798-1052439
