SCHRANZ!!!

I'm having a hell of a time trying to mixing schranz. i've got a couple of Working Vinyl Records and Carnage 5.

Any tips for mixing this shit and even better does anyone have any links to mixes for download? I've never heard a schranz set, so I'm kind of flying blind here.

i have bougth some stuff, but tent to play it way pitched down with other hard/club techno. its a very hard sound - so its nice to hear the clank at a slower pitch.

as for mixing it normally - i have done for my own amusment, but thats it! if you like mixing high bpm music and understand the pattern in which the chewn is made just mix away, i'd say that the sets i've heard "live" have relied on heavy usage of bass cutting, just plain simple b/line switches at the needed point, but theres so much going on that a 1minitue mix is more than adequate, jsut mix throught the chewn quicker to keep it changing - don't need to nessacerley play the whole 5mins of one track..

its hard german techno - or hard techno from europe (some check stuff is crazy!)

its hard distorted sounding with a high bpm - uusally 150 ish at flat pitch, the use of filters and hard fx's are present within the chewn, as opposed to a dj adding them with an fx unit.

sven wittekind, dj amok, andreas kremer, arkus p, etc play it

Thats what I was thinking! I usually mix it like this:

bosh, bosh, bosh, cut, cut , cu-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-t, kill bass, unkill bass, kill bass, drop!

i've not done one yet, but the day i feel the urge - i'll let you have one.
