add a sampler (either or) and click the sample load button
its the one that looks like the same icon windows uses for 'folders' in windows explorer
not to be confused with the patch load button
when you click sample load, along the top of the window that will
appear it'll tell you what filetypes are acceptable.. being: wav aiff
aif etc etc
