KARIM WHITES

right, i remember when his first white 'lets rock' came out, he said he only had 30 copies of this and thats why he's selling them at £30 a pop. but the thing is, that was about what- 1.5 - 2 years ago, and im sure that he would have run out by now, but he's still selling them on his website- he must just be taking the fucking piss, pressed a load of them and charging us fucking ridiculous prices just to make a few extra quid... 

i havent met the guy, but reading his posts makes me think that he is actually a bit of a twat and would be the sort to actually do this. i may be being a bit assumptive, but i was talking about this to one of my mates and he thinks the same...

what do you lot think?

i dont think he said 30 copies, he probably said limited copies.... not many will pay that ammount for a tune wether it be rare or not.. and others will have it on Cd and so wont buy it anyway.

We don't know how many he had, and we don't know how many have been sold either. No assumptions.

Foz, i remember the guy who was saying that he was selling them for karim said that he ONLY had 30 copies... he also said that if they sold well, then he would press another 30, and then another 30- so y the fuck did we pay £30 in the first place?

yeah, im pretty sure that it was on the old site when he first posted it- but he definitely said that he only had 30 copies for sale...

just makes me think that he's no better than those dodgy pricks who take your money, but dont send you your tunes

they are still not "general release" so only a few DJ's and collectors will get them. If you are thinking along these lines, ie. "i must have it for my collection" even for the shit tunes, maybe you are getting them for the wrong reason.  I'm not saying that as a dig, but if you like a tune and the general retail price is £30 when it comes out then it's got to be worth it hasn't it?

ive met karim at ripsnorter in bristol before, my mate invited him to the after party (cafe next door) and he said 'yeah ok'. The guy is very interesting.

Personally i love his arrogance behind the decks, he will turn up at any hard house event and play the type of hard house no other dj has played on the night regardless of the fact that 50% hate it and 50% adore it.

FFS its a business enterprise to MAKE money. If someone values a piece of work at a certain price and you want to buy it you have to pay their price. If you dont want to pay the price then dont....cant really see the point of having a go at someone because they at some point in time may have changed their minds and pressed a few more.....or is it that he didnt consult you first and your upset that you have been disobeyed?!

fair play if he can earn that much money from dj-ing, but when he's just charging people that much extra when they think they have a special tune that not many people have, then presses a shitload more of them- its not fucking on
