Creating 'donk' sound in FL..

Personally I prefer Waves MaxxxDonk but each to their own eh dave?

I find MaxxDonk doesnt really give the same resonant donk as the others, but that said, the Waves L3 Donkimiser is pretty wicked.

hey go to AAAsaples (dot) co (dot) uk download a plugin called donk machine and there you have it

this is how to  make the donk patch for fm7 or fm8

step one: clear the current patch so you have a simple sine tone.

step two: switch on another operator ne one will do try D

step three: change the ratio of the d operator to two and feed it into operator f about 70%

step four: route operater f into the filter operator which is operator z. fck around with the filter envalope settings so u av a very sharp decay time.

step five: route the operator out from z into the audio output and clear the other audio outs which u av.

add distortion and a small room reverb to taste and there you have it donk. it really is that  simple if you cant be fckt to make the patch just ask me and il send it to you.

Agreed - but make that www (dot) AAAsamples (dot) net and you have it.  Donk machine is a free plug-in that I use all the time - not just for donks but for basses - plus there are some interesting sample packs there too.
