Simon Posford - Where and Who???

As i've been listening to his older albums like "Deranger" and "Twisted" lately, i'm wondering what he's up to and who he is producing as these days.  Does he still use Hallucinogen and his many other aliases???

hallucinogen are still going, but he has loads of other projects on the go at the moment (including i think stuff with sphongle) tends to be the more commercial fluffy end of the psy scene. Can't remember any names at the mo but will get back to you

Top man... i'd love to go see the man perform live but he tends to be abroad or too far away most of the time

lone deranger and twisted were classic Wouldn't call shpongle fluffy, though....more experimental, really. Celtic Cross was posford as well, top stuff. He did a wicked track on the Mystery of the Yeti albums too Haven't heard much from him lately, but he's always put out amazing productions - a true master of the studio

Shamanix is by far the best tune i've heard so far... i've been trying to find where i can buy some decent and varied albums from his other guises but seeing as though he's involved in over 20 groups it's proving a bit hard

Agreed, Posford is the single most awesome producer that I've ever had the pleasure listening to. That was last Shpongle project incidently, Davy. He might make more Sphongle tunes with Raja but not an album from what I understand. John's right, check his discogs page. It's pretty up to date I think. The man has done and immense amount of work over the years with an incredible amount of diversity.

was posford anything to do with the Prometheus Process - i remember a record i had of these on twisted was well, erm  twisted.

he played here a couple of months ago . Did a spongle set first , what ever goes no boundries then hallucigen set after

Twisted records just did a night last Friday at SE1,
hallucinogen, prometheus and a few of the other artists under the twisted label played and it was a night of some of the most Psy/twisted beats I have ever heard. Posford also performed some newer stuff under his "younger brother" guise which sounded more like newish psy-trance and less like his hallucinogen stuff.

The Twisted label is Posford's. Prometheus Process is collab between Prometheus & Process.

I would have loved to have heard that.  It's funny, i was listening to Hallucinogen back in about 98 but never really knew anything of him but now i'm really into that sound and scene and wanna hear more of that particular style, it seems a little too late as that sound has passed.

Does he play this country very often???

... Just seen that, nice one.  I'll def be at the next event they put on in London.  When he plays as Hallucinogen now, does he play all the old stuff that's on "Twisted" and "Lone Deranger"??

well Last saturaday last 2 tunes of the hallucinogen set was shamanix then followed by Gamma goblins part 2..... the rest of his set was more stuff from both albums but just polished and altered with new sounds/riffs every so often to keep it sounding fresh.
