Alesis M1 MkII's, HHB Circle 5's & JBL Control 1's.

The Alesis have a slightly set back midrange but, it's just a case of getting used to them as with any monitor. I like them personally.

how have you got them set up?  i think the loud bass might be caused by having them too close to the back wall - i think that's the case in my setup anyway.  should probably do some tests really!

yeah it could be where i have them set up, a couple of tests sounds like a good idea chap! tho im saying about the faults on these speakers whenever im listerning to produced track by top producers, i love the sound that comes out of them the bass and mid is just right for my listerning pleasure! i might get a pair of these makies that everyone is raving about, but last time i listerned t the raves i got these M1's. mabey with a pair of makies and these M1's should have a nice sound for my ears... hopefully! looking

is there any major differences between having a bass port on the front of a monitor to having them on the back? silly question i know, but one of my mates is telling me to stay away from monitors with rear bass ports, any ideas.thumbsup
