Let me be the first to say it...............this mix is shite!!! Wafty fucken la la tunes and well........its not the tightest mix iv heard.
A bit harsh. I know Glazby is used to pumping out the Hard NRG, but definately not shite. I think he has just gone a slightly different direction to what he usually plays. As mentioned earlier, as there are so many hard NRG tunes out at the moment and so many new DJ's playing these tracks, he just wanted to stand out a bit.
To be fair there are a lot of good young Dj's at the moment, Ben Stevens and Frank Farrell are two that are really standing out at the moment. They both followed in the paths of Glazza. They now get booked at the big clubs such as Sunnies, Polysexual and Tidy.
I think this new style by Glazza is wkd. Can't wait to hear more from him in 2007. Vicious Circle at Leeds University in February here I come
I dont think its harsh at all mate. Compare this mix to say.........Justin Bourne's latest one or Marc Johnson's, you cant compare!! Tune selection aside the technical level at which Glazza has mixed this is average at best. I bet nearly every mix in the dj mixes page on this forum is mixed better. We have come to expect big things from this man over the years and for him to put something up like this for download is just dissapointing in my opinion.
do ya reackon???if so very very gay
Prepare to be dissapointed then mate!!
Just read a few posts above. SO FUCK if he hasn't filled the mix with repetitive hoover shite. Fair fucking play to the man for putting some upfront stuff out and taking a risk. For someone at the top of his game he could just take a back seat and continue to play the stuff he's been playing for years, but no, he's pushing his sound into a different direction, a direction which probably has more in it that the same old 'filth' routine.
to Mr Glazby
There's nothing wrong with the mix tune-wise I think it's pretty nice to listen to, most people are getting bored with constant thrailing all the way through the set. Any fucker can knock a mix up of the hardest nails tunes they've got....but whats the point? There's no progression at all just constant thrap. Fair play I like my NRG too, but all the way through a set is pretty boring now to say the least. Sorry to the NRG die-hards but NRG sets that are slamming sound the same all the way through, I like this approach Glazby has taken.
The mixing though is far from great, in fact i'd say its pretty shit in places. It's not just one or two mixes though its nearly every mix that goes out at one point or another and to be honest this doesn't sound like Glazby to me. Maybe it was a horrendous off day cos every DJ has them no matter how fuckin good they are, but I doubt Glazby would have been happy with this mix, and I very much doubt this is the mix he would have liked putting up either
Good to see the Captain at work.
